I videoed most of this 200 kms trip by car from Sea Level up to 3,000 metres ASL.
The apprehension you will hear in my voice is not due to pot holes in the road or the road itself (which is actually very good).
It reflects the lack of confidence I had yet to develop with my car.
This was my first venture out in my "new" and re-conditioned car and I was very concerned about breaking down. The engine had had a complete engine re-build and I had collected it only a week prior to departing. There had been "teething problems" (like the starter motor packing up and a high oil-preasure hose breaking in the centre of Lima) and I was expecting more!
The left/off-side head-light unit did fall off; I hit too many pot holes.
Not easy trying to film and drive and miss the pot holes!
I have edited out most of the "expletives". However, some have been left in as they do reflect my amazement at events.
So, if you are offended by "swearing" - then please do not view.
